Microprocessor has no display. No power to electro-mech valve. Check power supply and reinstate. Check MP plugs Check M/P terminals Check internal cable harnesses Check internal cable harnesses Check M/P terminals

The power is on but there is no cycle activation

  1. Check cycle settings – all valves
  2. Check for backwash initiation trigger – if volumetric, check turbine or flow meter pulse input.

Cycle Fails

Cycle runs but has no affect on fouled bed
Clean pilot strainer.

Check pilot valve retention spring is in place

 Clean pilot strainer.

Check motive flow pressure is >175-kPa.

If air driven, consult APP

 Check linkages and orientation disc position Check linkages and orientation disc position Check piston link is intact

Valve cycles continuously

Pilot stager turns continuously Error 3 – positioning sensor is dislodged. Check and rectify.

Check and ensure the pilot piston is correctly located and secure

Performance - Poor quality treated water

  1. Check and confirm program settings
  2. Run additional backwash cycles
  3. Decrease backwash interval

Performance - short backwash, poor treated water quality and high dynamic pressure differential

  1. Increase backwash time and run cycle
  2. Adjust BW stage time according to the effluent condition
  3. Run sequential cycles

Poor Backwash

Treated water is clear but coloured

Activated carbon filters 1)      If the GAC <2 years old, consult APP.

2)      If the GAC is >2 years old, consult APP to replace the GAC

 

Flow always running to drain

Control valve is in service Ensure there is no media particles in the pilot flapper valve Drain piston needs lubrication or replacement. Consult APP  

Internal damage, wear, or fouling. Consult APP
