On Road Service Technician – Plumbers, electricians, or fitters

All Purpose Pumps is a family owned and operated business, operating for since 1988. With a passion for quality pump solutions and systems, partnering with Plumbers, Builders and Consultants. All Purpose Pumps has continued to grow over the years which facilitates a dedicated office and manufacturing facilities in Melbourne and Geelong in Victoria.  

You are reliable and capable of performing repairs and undertaking maintenance on a broad range of pumping systems. You will have a strong ability to multitask to meet changing priorities. Fitting and turning and/or Mechanical Application experience would be highly regarded.  

This position will be Serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products. You will receive on the job training and support. Based in Corio and Hoppers Crossing, permanent full-time role working between the hours of 6am – 6pm. There is also ample opportunity to ongoing growth. Duties will include:
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits
  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Ensure that all required repairs are completed efficiently and cost effectively, and that all repairs are documented in detail
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers
Critical Selection Criteria
  • D Grade Electrical license – desirable
  • Experience in Fitting and Turner and / or Mechanical desirable
  • Experience in mechanical power-driven systems desirable
  • Ability to utilise diverse machines and possess a practical common-sense attitude
  • Exposure to preparing Service Reports and Quoting
  • Initiative, flexibility, a can-do attitude, and reliability are must haves
  • The ability to problem solving, identify faults, and provide solutions is critical
  • Attention to detail and well organised
