Grease Interceptor Traps

Grease Interceptor Traps

Grease interceptor traps separate fat, oils, and grease to stop them from entering into the sewer systems. This makes them ideal for industrial food processing, restaurant kitchens, and commercial food preparation facilities.

As specialists in water pumps, we offer a wealth of innovative products and custom solutions, built to supply effective water treatment for a range of applications.

Our grease interceptor traps are crafted from premium quality materials, promising longevity and enhanced efficiency. Let’s take a closer look at grease interceptor traps so you can find the best fit for your requirements.

What are the different types of grease interceptor traps?

There are three main types of grease interceptor traps: automatic, gravity, and passive grease traps; each offers something unique, depending on your needs.

Size and capacity are the key considerations. Passive grease traps are ideal for smaller applications, while automatic and gravity interceptors are usually better for larger installations.

At All Purpose Pumps, we offer one main grease interceptor trap, with sizes available for a variety of applications.

Food Oil Interceptor

Our Food Oil Interceptor has been designed to successfully handle difficult ground conditions without failure. This interceptor trap is compliant with AS/NZS 1546.1 soil loading design requirements. It promises superior performance and construction, with a reliable design life of 50 years.

Use the Food Oil Interceptor as a water separator in cafes, restaurants, commercial kitchens, or any other industry that sees a lot of food waste. Its multi-interconnectable tank can easily take on a significant amount of fats, oils, and trade waste, making it a great fit for larger capacity facilities where it can be installed above ground or in-ground without a concrete backfill.

We have five sizes available, with a capacity of up to 5,000L; custom designs are also available upon request. For more detailed specs and information, refer to our product datasheet.

Grease interceptor traps: Know before you buy

When it comes to buying a grease interceptor trap, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind to ensure you get the most out of your purchase.

Maintenance

Grease interceptor traps deal with heavy-duty food particles and oils. They get dirty quickly, which means they need to undergo regular cleaning to keep them in top condition. A good clean every three months should do the trick; however, this may depend on the amount of waste being accumulated.

Accessories

Some grease interceptor traps may be available with optional extras designed to increase efficiency and performance.

For example, our Food Oil Interceptor can be purchased with an adjustable or fixed riser, with the fixed riser offering a more accurate surface finish. Other additional accessories include a safety grate and a chemical-resistant upgrade.
