PROJECT: TRADE WASTE SYSTEM FOR A NEW COSMETIC MANUFACTURER IN SOUTHEAST MELBOURNE

All Purpose Pumps have developed a state-of-the-art trade waste treatment facility for utilization for a new quality cosmetics manufacturing site in the Southeast Suburbs of Melbourne. Our client is a leading beauty and wellness business that develops solutions to accelerate natural revolution with their vision to create amazing products and experiences. Throughout the design process, there were multiple challenges to treat the waste to acceptable standards for disposal to Southeast Water’s specifications. These include:
    • Significant feed temperatures exceeding 50-60 degrees Celsius
    • Widely varying feed pH range from below 2 to above 12-13
    • Variable trade waste batch volumes, significantly impacting on process fine control when treating the water to acceptable Southeast Water standards for disposal
All Purpose Pumps developed a responsive process in-house in conjunction with our chemical engineering partners. The process was built in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and dry-commissioned in-house prior to delivery. With an intent to minimize site disruptions with shutdowns, commissioning was completed in less than a day and the plant was left on-line, certified, and operational in rapid time. The maintenance of this system will occur through APP’s dedicated Service Team, where all process controls and parameters will be adjusted and maintained to ensure on-going maximum operational efficiency. Cloud based data logging is standard.
This project now treats large volumes of trade waste effluent, which are disposed of to the sewer system. The waste not only meets but exceeds trade waste specifications. Our team at APP managed to tick all the boxes from Southeast Water’s specifications and control requirements. This resulted in a smooth project process from design inception through to handover.
