Tradewaste Systems

What are the different types of trade waste systems?

We have three trade waste systems available.

1. Food Oil Interceptor

The Food Oil Interceptor features a flexible design that can adapt to a range of different needs. Its adjustable riser gives you a depth of up to 75mm, and its interconnected tank design works for larger capacity applications.

Made from strong fibreglass with a 50-year design lifespan, this interceptor is a reliable solution for managing trade waste. It offers above-ground and in-ground installation to match your preferences, while using an interconnected tank design to allow for larger capacity.

The Food Oil Interceptor is available in models that are suitable for food processing plants, cafes, restaurants, and commercial food preparation, and it comes in a range of sizes, from 600L to 5,000L.

Custom designs are also available upon request. Reach out to the team to request a quote

2. Intercept Oil Water Separator

For effective oil removal in workshops and vehicle wash bays (along with other settings), the Intercept Oil Water Separator meets local water authority regulations. It is a complete system, so installation is straightforward, and it delivers high levels of efficiency, thanks to its coalescing plate separator technology.

It arrives ready to install and comes with its own waste oil collection container, providing effective trade waste management for vehicle wash bays, workshops, warehouses, service stations, and industrial businesses.

Our range includes:

  • OWS1000 with a 1000L/h flow rate
  • OWS1500 with a 1500L/h flow rate
  • OWS2000 with a 2000L/h flow rate
  • OWS3000 with a 3000L/h flow rate

3. PH Correction Systems

The PH Correction System will help to separate all the chemicals from wastewater, making sure it always sits within the desired pH range before entering any sewer systems.

It comes with pH probes, a flow meter, control and data logging, as well as chemical injection points to make trade waste management that much easier.

This system will only discharge when the liquid is within a 6-10 pH range and when the internal temperature reaches around 38℃. It is available in above- and below-ground configurations to suit laboratories, hospitals, schools, universities, and pharmacists.

Trade waste systems: What do I need to know?

There are a couple of important things to consider before purchasing a trade waste system.

Regular maintenance

Routine cleaning and maintenance can help get the best performance out of pre-treatment equipment. Our technicians can ensure your business runs smoothly. Learn more about pump maintenance and periodical servicing.

Choosing the right trade waste pre-treatment system

A commercial kitchen and laboratory will require completely different systems, so it’s important to evaluate the best solutions for your setting and needs.

For example:

  • Service stations and workshops (where oils can contaminate wastewater) will need to install an Intercept Oil Water Separator.
  • Food businesses, such as restaurants, should use a food oil interceptor.
  • In laboratories and schools, where chemicals are present, a PH correction system will be beneficial.

If you’re unsure of the best solution for a project, call our expert team to discuss the requirements. We are happy to help.
